My weight-loss journey.

During my time working in defense and software, I began to see the wear and tear of traveling from one user site to the next. I looked in the mirror and didn't like what stared back. One body. One life.

Life in NYC.

Moving back to New York City from Japan, I knew I wanted to do a few things differently: move more, drastically cut back on alcohol, sleep and wake earlier, stretch, and commit to a new principle—work harder than I did in the last 24 hours.

Building custom tooling.

To support those changes, I built Midnight Health—originally for myself. It brings wearable data, my calendar, and nutrition into one place so I can understand how I'm doing and decide what to adjust.

Where does this go?

Moving back to the fast pace of NYC, I want to be a certain kind of fit: The New York Operator.

The New York Operator won't follow the tale of Pyrrhus. A victory that costs us our health or sanity isn't the ending we're after. We will compete with both mind and body in this concrete jungle.
